The Hidden Figures

What the System Never Told You

The math has always been there. It was just never organized this way — until now. The traditional pay system was not accidentally flawed. It was built on a foundation that guaranteed workers would receive less than they earned.

The 8-Hour Lie

A full productive day has 16 usable, waking hours — not 8. The moment a pay system is built around only 8 hours, the worker's potential compensation is cut in half before they clock in on day one.

The standard "8-hour workday" was not established for the worker's benefit. It was established at a time when labor had no voice, and the structure that was set then has been inherited and accepted as truth ever since.

CHAPPS calls this what it is: a fiction that has operated for centuries as accepted truth, keeping workers underpaid at a systemic level. The truth is 168 hours. The lie was 8.

The Numbers They Don't Show You
Your week — all 168 hours 168 hrs
Traditional pay accounts for 40 hrs
Hours left unacknowledged 128 hrs
Taxable under traditional system 40 hrs (all of it)
Taxable under CHAPPS 10 hrs only
75% reduction in taxable hours. Same 40 hours worked. Completely different outcome.

Three Harmful Pay Models

The current pay system is not the first attempt to extract worker value without fair return. Larry Pinson Sr. identifies three historical models that still operate today — in modified form — inside the modern payroll structure.

01
Monarchy Pay

Workers are taxed to fund the salaries and lifestyles of those who govern them — the modern version of peasants paying the king. When a government extracts income tax from workers to fund elected officials' salaries, offices, and benefits, the structure mirrors the feudal taxation that workers have always been told was abolished.

02
Dictatorship Pay

Forced labor contribution with no worker autonomy, no transparency, and no self-direction of earnings. When workers have no say in how their pay is structured, where their contributions go, or what benefits they receive, the relationship between employer and worker mirrors coercion rather than contract.

03
The Current Mixed Model

Budget deficits masked by worker taxation. Politicians who claim they “don't take a salary” still draw from the taxpayer budget indirectly — through offices, staffs, travel, and infrastructure all funded by the same income taxes extracted from the workers they were elected to represent. This is the monarchy model operating behind democratic language.

Natural Law Principle

Every man was given dominion — not over other men, but over the earth and his own labor. No king, no governor, no political structure has the right to extract a man's work to pay for their own throne.

This pay system is a restoration of that original order: your labor, your time, your 168 hours, your money.
What CHAPPS Restores

CHAPPS does not eliminate taxation. It restructures the relationship between labor and taxation so that only genuinely earned, taxable wage — 10 of your 40 work hours — is subject to income tax. The remaining 30 hours are structured as non-taxable compensation categories that still benefit the worker fully.

The result: a worker earning the same gross compensation takes home significantly more, contributes to their own retirement through their own labor, and never needs to depend on a government pension that can be cut, reduced, or eliminated.

A Message for Every Person This Affects

The hidden pay problem touches every type of person in the workforce and in government. Larry Pinson Sr. has a direct message for each of them.

To the Worker

"You have always been worth more than 8 hours. The system was never designed with your 168 in mind — this one is. Every hour you work now is building something that belongs to you permanently. Your benefits are yours. Your stipend is yours. Your retirement is already paid. You were never the problem. The structure was."

To the Employer

"This framework eliminates overtime, stabilizes your scheduling, reduces taxable payroll liability, and gives workers a transparent view of where every hour of their labor goes. The 4-in-the-box rotation covers every day of the calendar year with four workers and zero excess cost. You gain a workforce that trusts the system — because the system is transparent."

To the Policymaker

"The budget is broken because the pay system was never restructured after the monarchical model was inherited. This system does not eliminate taxation — it restructures it so only truly earned wage is taxable. Fix the pay structure, and the budget pressure on workers resolves itself. You don't need new taxes. You need a new framework."

To Natural Law

"This system was built in alignment with the truth that every man was given dominion — not over other men, but over the earth and his own labor. No king, no governor has the right to extract a man's work to pay for their own throne. Your 168 hours. Your labor. Your money. That is the order this system restores."

“No man has dominion over a weaker man. Every worker has dominion over their own labor. That is natural law — and that is the law this system was built to enforce.” — Larry Pinson Sr., Founder of CHAPPS
